2020 LONDON FESTIVAL COMPETITION (Season II)

Congratulations to all winners of London Festival Competition!

JUDGES' BEST PERFORMANCE AWARD

LIN TOKURA, age 8, is originally from Tokyo Japan and began violin at age 2. She joined the Suzuki Method Tokyo Ensemble and was invited to participate in the Cremona Music Festival as the youngest ambassador from Japan. Lin was appeared on Cremona local TV and featured in the newspaper, La Provincia in 2017. Her first competition was Crescendo International Music Competitions and Lin won First Place Honor. She had a winner’s recital at Carnegie Hall in January 2019 and received the Second Prize within all performers. She was awarded Grand Prix at New York Concert Festival International Competitions and selected as the International Soloist of the Year 2019. Recently Lin participated in Leonid Kogan International Competition in Belgium and the category under 9 years old and won a Special Mention for outstanding achievements.
LAURA ARIAS PALOMINO Spanish young pianist who began her musical studies of piano and violin at the age of eight, she studied at Ziryab Musician Professional Conservatory, currently studying of Professional Degree. She has completed Masterclasses and advanced courses with teachers such as Leonel Morales, Leo de María, Tommaso Cogato and others, all agreeing on the great musical talent she possess. She has performed innumerable performances as well as concerts in different auditoriums and halls, participating in different institutional organism and events.

SYED FATEEN AHMED is a 12 years old musician from Bangalore. He began learning piano at the age of three and his quest for learning western classical piano grew immensely under the tutelage of Belarusian Concert pianists & Concert masters Natallia Kapylova and Liudmilla Alizarchyk who graduated from Belarus State Conservatory with musical lineage to J.S.Bach under Prof. Yushkevitch. He was the winner of 5th Kawai National Junior Piano Competition in the year 2018. Fateen has taken masterclasses from Steinway pianists Karl Lutchmayer and Neville Bharucha. Fateen was the winner & came first in The First Online Young Stars International Piano Competition 2020, Category C held at Boston along with a Diploma & invitation to Massachusetts next year for a recital.

RENEE YADAV is 14 and is a student of Katryna Tan of Rave Harps in Singapore. Renee is the 4th Prize winner in the 30th Nippon Harp Competition (Japan, 2018), 1st Prize Junior winner in the Young Talents Project (Singapore, 2017) and 1st Prize Junior winner in the Young Artist’s Harp Competition (USA, 2016). Renee was awarded Distinction with Honors at the Raffles Music International Festival Chamber Competition (Singapore, 2019). She performs actively and has performed in Singapore, Hong Kong and USA.
AODEN TEO studies the cello with Singapore Symphony Orchestra, cello section fixed chair, Guo Hao. Aoden has won first prize in many international competitions including the 3rd International Competition for Best Schumann Performance, 2019, the Art of Instrumental Performance competition series, 2019, and the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition, 2018.
SVEN BAUER internationally acclaimed soloist and chamber musician, fascinates the audience with a symbiosis of breathtaking virtuosity and artistic maturity. His concert activities have led the young pianist to world-famous concert halls including the Carnegie Hall New York, the Royal Albert Hall London, the Wiener Musikverein, the Berlin Philharmonie and the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, to the Residence of the German ambassador in Rome, as well as to exceptional places such as the production hall of a Swiss metal construction company and the Acropolis Museum Athens.
YUCHUN CHENG Rainer Moog, former Principal Viola of Berliner Philharmoniker once describe Yuchun as: One possess perfect pitch and who is well versed in musical playing skills. Bright future lies before her. Yu Chun was born in Tainan, Taiwan in December, 1997. She is now studying at The Juilliard School-Bachelor of music with Professor Hsin Yun Huang. She has been playing violin and piano since the age of five. In 2013, she went to the U.S. for advanced music study in the Juilliard Precollege Division and received The Juilliard School Pre-College Division Class of 2016 Commencement Award.
